12/10/2023 0 Comments Logitech g923 handbrake xboxSomething like a transducer can provide a similar effect through your chair but at a significant extra cost. Truth is, if you're looking for immersion, you'll struggle to find much better, especially at the $399.99 / £349.99 price point. Since TrueForce is the headline addition and main unique selling point for the G923, many people will be wondering how it actually feels to use. Previous quality of life inclusions return for this wheel too: a built-in rev indicator that shows when you're redlining on the wheel itself and a 24-point selection dial on the Enter button are two examples. ![]() Expect the wheel to be wrestled out of your grip while you get used to the wheel thanks to the strong torque. Even in games which don't support TrueForce - which is, unfortunately, most of them (more on that in a moment) - the force feedback is so impressive. While that's the only new feature, Logitech has improved upon the closed-loop motor control too, meaning everything is more responsive. In layman's terms, it's quite simple: TrueForce makes your racing experience feel more realistic. This is the name of Logitech's "latest innovation in force feedback technology", which "connects directly to in-game simulation engines and physics to produce higher fidelity, real-time responses". The maximum depth of the mounting system is 3.5 cm, with the plastic extension clips removed, so if your desk is thicker than that you'll either have to screw the wheel in using the two threaded holes on the underside of the unit, or attach a thinner board and clamp that to your desk through other means. On the face of it, the G923 is a minor upgrade to the G29, and you'd be forgiven for wondering why it's worth picking up. It's not the most stable design, depending on your desk, and keeping it firmly planted can mean cranking the latches down pretty tight. My only concern with the construction is with the way the wheel attaches to a desk or frame. The shifter paddles (flappy paddles) feel responsive and mechanically satisfying, too. Unfortunately, the inclusion of leather does mean this product isn't vegan. The G923 is well-built: the rear may be plastic but the metal and leather finish on the wheel itself brings about longevity where it counts. As I mentioned, if it's an upgrade from the G29 or G920 you're looking for, this isn't it.įor new super licensees and growing gearheads there's an well-rounded package here, though. Project Cars 3, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Automobilista 2, GRID (2019), iRacing, Monster Truck Championship, and Snowrunner.Īs a way of differentiating the G923 from its predecessors, perhaps that's not all that convincing. TrueForce is currently supported in just seven games: I enjoy the feel of it, it's just limited in scope, and that's both in terms of on-track feedback and support. I'd say it does feel like driving a car, at least more so than with it disabled, although it doesn't feel like it's usable information when racing. it's sort of like a low humming as you glide over the track, which translates the finer features of the track into your wheel. One of the few changes with the G923 over its predecessor is the introduction of TrueForce, a software feature that translates in-game physics more accurately from game to wheel. ![]() The Logitech G923 is much more of a competitive racing wheel than you'd expect. ![]() ![]() F1 2019 was the only game I had to hop into the options menu to setup, and I simply followed these guidelines from Reddit for the G29. Most games recognise the wheel natively and will set the controls accordingly, but for those that don't there are tons of helpful guides on how to do so, either for the G923 or the G29 and G920. The benefit of this wheel over some others is that, despite being relatively new, it benefits from the many G-series wheels before it. 12/10/2023 0 Comments Adobe premiere rushfor mac![]() Some product links in this post are affiliate links, and I will be compensated when you purchase by clicking our links. In July 2010, the White House announced a major change in its HIV/AIDS policy the "National HIV/AIDS Strategy for the United States" stated that "the continued existence and enforcement of these types of laws run counter to scientific evidence about routes of HIV transmission and may undermine the public health goals of promoting HIV screening and treatment." The administration's strategy cited a 2008 paper by Scott Burris and Edwin Cameron, a South African judge: "The use of criminal law to address HIV infection is inappropriate except in rare cases in which a person acts with conscious intent to transmit HIV and does so." In October 2012, the HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA) of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) called for the repeal of statutes that criminalize HIV-related behavior, writing: "Policies and laws that create HIV-specific crimes or that impose penalties for persons who are HIV-infected are unjust and harmful to public health around the world." It argued that such laws contribute to stigmatization and discrimination that inhibit diagnosis and result in "harsh sentencing for behaviors that pose little to no risk of HIV transmission." It advised that "All state and federal policies, laws and regulations. Unfortunately, these laws did not appear to have the intended effect. Unpacking is the perfect meditative reflection on moving and organizing and how acquired things and spaces tell our stories. But ultimately, these moments make the joy of the rest of the game stand out even stronger. Some of the smaller objects can be hard to identify, too, and players must guess at where unidentifiable knick-knacks should go. At points, this can be frustrating - players accustomed to assuming that a potholder hangs on a wall or oven door may take some time to figure out they belong in drawers. Finding the right location to progress to unpacking the next house provides a feeling of accomplishment, Unpacking's equivalent of leveling up. Certain objects do belong in particular locations, which aren't always intuitive. ![]() RELATED: Rogue Lords Is a Devilish but Overly Complex Evolution of Slay the Spireīut Unpacking isn't always totally zen - there are moments of minor strife in the game. ![]() It also means that Unpacking is a game for any type of player. This attention to accessibility led Unpacking to win the Excellence in Accessibility award at the Australian Game Developer Awards. The controls can also be entirely remapped, colors can be changed and no gameplay cues are presented in audio-only, allowing for adaptable gameplay. The controls are simple, requiring only one click and no drag-and-drop, which makes them easy to integrate into different interfaces, like touch. The ease of play leads to one of the most interesting aspects of Unpacking: its emphasis on accessibility. These little touches of usability play into Unpacking's meditative nature, preventing the gameplay and problem-solving from revolving around figuring what buttons to use or requiring one-off commands for placing an item on a hook. Placing a towel near a hook unfolds it and hangs it neatly while placing a folded dress near a hanger sets it hanging. The game provides a simple rotation option in one plane, but if you place books near a bookshelf, they stand up on their own to easily arrange them all spines out. Unpacking also makes placing and orienting objects incredibly easy. Doors can be accidentally blocked by open drawers or items, contributing to the feeling of chaos in the moving process. Boxes appear to have less packing material as players empty them of items. Other simple environmental cues contribute to the cohesive polish of Unpacking. It breaks reality but is a good design choice for the game - as the shelves and drawers become more cluttered, the floor space frees up. When a box has been completely emptied, it folds itself up and disappears instead of piling up to be dealt with later. There's a little bit of magic to Unpacking, too. The visual and musical stylings are a perfect complement to Unpacking's meditative nature and help to truly set the scene for the gameplay. Accompanied by a memorable score, the overall aesthetic of Unpacking is unassuming - just a pleasant little jaunt through rooms past. The charming game is given a hint of nostalgia with its intentional low-res graphics, rendering every object in pixelated glory. RELATED: How Indie Game Mad Streets Brings Mario Party's Madness to Beat 'em Up Gameplay Considering the real-life act is burdensome and often stressful, Unpacking presents a pleasant alternative where every item has a place and the player has all the time in the world to find it. The process becomes almost meditative instead of repetitive. ![]() There are no time limits, giving players a chance to explore the rooms they're unpacking and experiment with where they place things. The end result is a puzzle game with low stakes, but that feels like it truly builds. Unpacking art supplies tells the player something about this protagonist, and the shared spaces move from minimalist and pristine into charmingly cluttered with personality. The spaces themselves tell a coming-of-age story of changing relationships, while the unpacked objects spell out interests and priorities. But the organization mechanic is embedded into an overarching narrative as the player unpacks a bedroom, then a dorm room, then a series of apartments. This basic gameplay of arranging clutter and creating order out of chaos is the main mechanic of Unpacking, and it would be fun enough on its own. ![]() When you select Percentage of > Row in Pane from the Analysis menu, In the following view, the red box constitutes a single pane the values within the red box add up to 100%. Since most of our readers are also using other types of design and simulation software, the requirements of those tools would also play a role in optimal workstation configurations. We went directly to the experts at Luxion to discuss workstation configuration considerations when it comes to deploying KeyShot 10. Available for both real-time rendering and local render output, KeyShot’s GPU Mode allows GPU resources to be accessed with one-click to take advantage of multi-GPU performance scaling and the dedicated ray tracing acceleration hardware in NVIDIA RTX-capable GPUs. KeyShot has the ability to harness the full GPU-accelerated ray tracing power of NVIDIA RTX with OptiX. The CPU denoiser in KeyShot also requires SSE4.1. The KeyShot CPU renderer utilizes all available CPU cores, so the more cores, the faster the rendering times. Internet connection (to activate product). In general, Luxion recommends the following configuration: ![]() Novo PLM, another reseller, specifies workstations with 2GB of RAM, 2GB of disk space, a dual-core CPU, an Intel 64-bit processor with SSE4.1 or higher, with at least an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 GPU. Reseller and consultancy 3HTi, for example, recommends several workstations with a range of features and price points for KeyShot. Processors like the Intel i7, i9, and Xeon Gold families can help optimize performance of KeyShot. But with recent advances in GPU-based rendering and introduction of dedicated ray-tracing circuits such as the RT cores in NVIDIA RTX, GPUs play an increasingly important role in workstation selection. Traditional CPU rendering, unlike a lot of basic CAD workflows, is deeply multi-threaded and will directly benefit from a higher CPU core count. In the interview below, Luxion provides further guidance on workstation requirements for the software. Optimizing the performance of KeyShot requires more than just a fast GPU, however. In March, we spoke to Luxion Co-founder and Chief Scientist Henrik Wann Jensen about the shift to GPU compute resources could benefit our engineering audience. GPU-accelerated ray tracing raised the bar for rendering performance when Luxion announced it would support the technology in its KeyShot solution in 2018. |
